Waiting and watching, I'm facing the door
Hoping, still hoping, I'll see you once more
Knowing, so clearly, the world will abhor
Feelings for you that I cannot ignore

Just spiralling lower, all of the while
You're hateful, they tell me, nothing but vile
Why can't they see how your face can beguile
Worlds of delight in your beautiful smile

Late, it's too late, all I'm feeling is pain
Knowing my vigil has all been in vain
Tendrils of nightmare to drive me insane
Drowned in the quagmire of never again
